With more than 2 billion people under the age of 18, the world's population is young. We know that young people have enthusiasm, imagination and energy to undertake regional actions, act as effective communicators in their communities and be involved at the European level. This insight comes from the AER member regions: when encouraged to act, young Europeans are thoughtful citizens capable of participating in and changing the society to which they belong.
The aim of the AER Summer School Flevoland
The aim of the AER Summer School Flevoland 2011 will be to discuss resources, activities and the tools to enhance awareness, access to information and participation of young people in the global challenges faced by European regions. The workshops will be prepared together with the AER Youth Regional Network, a European platform of regional youth councils, parliaments and organizations from AER member regions.
